Route 66 Centennial

The 100th anniversary of Route 66, known as the Mother Road Centennial, is being celebrated throughout the year 2026. This historic milestone commemorates the official establishment of the highway on November 11, 1926, although national festivities officially kick off on April 30, 2026—the date the route was formally named.   Route 66's west coast terminus was in Santa Monica, California, right in our back yard!  Join the fun!  "Get your kicks on Route 66" and stay with us at SureStay Hotel in Santa Monica this year!
